Cementos Molins was founded in 1928 with the aim of giving continuity to quarry operations and the manufacture of lime and natural cement located in the towns of Pallejà, Vallirana and Sant Vicenç dels Horts, which was followed by the activity of manufacturing calcium aluminate cement (molten).

In 1943, the first Portland cement rotary kiln was put into operation, successively increasing in the 50s and 60s the production capacity, both of Portland cement and molten cement.

During the 1980s, Cementos Molins began geographic expansion and product diversification that would make the company the parent company of a large group of national and international companies. This expansion, which continues to this day, has led the Group to have industrial operations on four continents.
