First international platform for quality BIM objects
DAE. Our history begins in the Cadaques of the 60s. At that time Spain was in the midst of dictatorship and Cadaques became the international cultural center, where artists such as Dalí, Duchamp, Man Ray, Hamilton, Roth, spent long periods of time. Casamada, and of course, the English architect of American origin Peter Harnden (1913-1971) and the Italian architect Lanfranco Bombelli (1921-2008) both devoted themselves among other things to architecture, making a type of pure and modern construction, seal still of identity in Cadaques. They were the first to provide homes with metal chimneys, when the concept of a fireplace was still understood as a large-scale construction element. It is here when José Antonio Coderch, inspired by the English chimneys of Mahón, all of them built, decided to build one in the house that he shared with Leopoldo Milá. Considering the result and influenced by Peter Harnden and Lanfranco Bombelli decided to manufacture a sheet metal model, the order was made to his friend Leopoldo Milá, who at that time ran the POLINAX company, where he originally manufactured exhaust pipes for Ossa and Montesa, a company that also manufactured motorcycle seats. The chimney was called CHAPEL, achieving in 1964 the Delta ADI / FAD Award.
In 2013 DAE is forced to hold a bankruptcy and Antonio Lozal manages together with the designers to recover the collection of fireplaces. In 2014 he incorporated the ARTICULARE model to the collection and was a finalist for the DELTA 2016 awards.
