Description: GreenWall is a vertical garden integrated into a prefab façade (e.g. the SmartWall) and at green roofs with special tiles, rooted in local and regional value chains to improve building energy efficiency, providing cooling effect, insulation and carbon sequestration.
Greening the building envelope improves urban wildlife-biodiversity and mitigates the urban heat island effect. The air quality improvement due to vegetation is mainly related to the absorption of fine dust particles, which are mainly in urban areas and cause damages for the human health, (are mainly adhered to the outside of the vegetation parts) and the uptake of gaseous pollutants such as CO2 (used by plants for the photosynthesis process creating oxygen and biomass), NO2 and SO2 (are converted into nitrates and sulphates in the plant tissue). Field measurements showed a temperature reduction at a green façade in a range of 2-6 °C compared with a bare wall, during t
General conditions:

The BIM Object in the GreeNest BIM Library is intended for use in eco-efficient projects within the European Union. The BIM file has a parameter structure that complies with the GDO-BIM Standard, meaning that it can be used across a BIM project and meets all the data incorporation and management needs of the asset life cycle phases.

However, the BIM Manager must adapt the file to the requirements of the project in accordance with the private contract or public tender or based on the ISO 19650 standard that applies to the project.

Standardisation facilitates the use of the BIM file, providing common parameter criteria for the different actors working on the project.
